The current parish of Seavington is comprised of the two old parishes of St. Michael and St. Mary, there is currently just one parish council.
Seavington St. Michael has the current 11th century church of St. Michael. St. Mary’s church in Seavington St. Mary was closed. In the past there were two non-conformist chapels in Seavington St. Mary. In Dark Lane there was a Bible Christian Chapel - Beulah, and also a Methodist Chapel on the main road through the village.Both are now residential properties.
