The Vickery Family
Graeme Vickery is from Woolongong 80kms south of Syndey, Australia. His forebears emigrated to Australia from Seavington St Mary in 1849. He has sent us the PDF document below. He visited Seavington in June 2013 following up his family’s history in Seavington and it was a pleasure to meet him.
On 14 July 2014 he wrote

I’ve haven’t been very active Family History wise this year.
Would you believe I have received an email from Raymond Vickery, to say he is still kicking and that he has moved to his daughters place in Jersey where she is looking after him.
With the help of Bev Bonning and information provided by Raymond’s daughter Stacey Sarre we have concluded that Raymond and I are cousins. It has taken some work but, as I thought upon meeting Raymond, the likeness was too much of a coincidence for us not to be related.
Bev Bonning has also put me in touch with a lady named Helen Gibson, who is a descendant of Robert & Phoebe vickery. As I am in Giles Vickery’s line, she is in Charlotte’s, another of their children. So the search continues.
If you want another subscription for the Seavington web museum down the track, please let me know. I attended my eldest daughters Graduation of her Physiotherapy degree in Orange on Dec 15th, 2015..photo attached. Comparing photo’s of Jennifer, myself and Raymond, I would have to say there are some similar features
On returning I called into Bathurst where the Vickery Family had settled for a time. On visiting the Family History Group there, I found that the Vickery Family is mentioned in the Pioneer Register..extracts attached. Possibly you could add this to the Vickery Family History page in your website.
Is there any photo’s of any Vickerys that you are aware of ? Helen Gibson says she has one of Charlotte which she is going to send me.
