Playing Fields
The Playing Fields in Seavington are in a south facing field halfway between both villages, the Millennium Hall is at the bottom of the field and the Village Store and Cafe is situated alongside the Hall and Carpark. The village has a long history of fund raising to improve village facilities.
The playing fields were originally leased then brought from the Dillington Estate from funds raised by the village - (See the Story of the Stitchers under Village Life).
Then there was more amazing fund raising to build the Millennium Village Hall which was completed in 1997. The next thing that the village fund raised for was to improve the children’s playground, and finally opened in July 2010 - the new Village Shop and Store.
